Every year the traditional Sami games organized in the Kola region Loparskaya station by Administration of the Kola region and the Murmansk regional Sport Committee in cooperation with Murmansk Regional Centre for Indigenous Peoples.

The Sami flag was raised by Ivan Gerasimov the oldest inhabitants of Loparskaya station and the chair of local branch of the Association of Kola Sami Lydia Bolshunova.

All visitors enjoyed by sports program with the national Sami games, such as throwing the lasso, sled jumping, shooting a crossbow, fishing, and Sami women's soccer, as well as performances of folk groups and national Sami exhibition. Inside the traditional Sami house the participants enjoyed the traditional Sami food.

As Nadezda Chuprova, the head of the Murmansk regional center for indigenous peoples noted, the Fall Sami games are organized in over 15 years. They actively participating by Sami youth, and stimulates to study the native language, promotes the Sami culture at the region.
